A foot and ankle surgeon for over 15 years. In the heart of the 2020 pandemic, as the world slowed and shifted beneath our feet, Dr. Duane F. Cumberbatch began to see a burgeoning trend. From athletes running on harsh asphalt to frontline workers standing for long hours, everyone's feet seemed to be bearing the weight of the world. From his own athletic background and experiences, Dr. Cumberbatch recognized the essential role foot health played in performance, recovery, and overall well-being. The importance of our feet, the very foundation of our bodies, couldn’t be understated.

With this realization, SoleMedix was born.

The company’s mission was clear: to revolutionize foot health for the modern age. Dr. Cumberbatch envisaged a “solistic” approach, encompassing something overlooked in the socks that people wore but also integrating stretching tools, recovery protocols, and educating on foot health. It would tailor products to the unique demands of each person's lifestyle, whether that was the intense needs of an MMA fighter or the endurance required by a nurse on a 12-hour shift
